Leroy Leslie Bigham

	Leroy Leslie Bigham, age 81, of Pinckneyville, departed this life Thursday, April 26, 2001 at 12:11 p.m. in the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Leroy was born in Pinckneyville on July 18, 1919, the son of Elmer and Bertha (Becker) Bigham.  He married Ethel Williamson on February 5, 1949 and she survives.  During his lifetime, he was an electrician, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 702, served with the U.S. Army During World War II and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pinckneyville.
	Survivors include his wife:  Ethel of Pinckneyville, daughter:  Wanda Schroeder and her husband, Donald, of New Athens, daughter-in-law:  Sheryl Davis of Leesburg, Fla., three brothers, Russell Bigham and his wife, Helen, of Pinckneyville, Glen Bigham and his wife, Thelma, and Gerald Bigham and his wife, Marietta, all of Granite City, Ill., two sisters, Lois Jenkel of Pinckneyville and Carolyn Jewel and her husband, Mike, of Belleville and three grandsons:  Edward, Gregory and Kevin.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Jack Davis, a grandson: Kenneth Davis, two brothers: Elmer Eugene Bigham and Elvis Bigham and four sisters: Velma Hopp, Opal Bigham, Rebecca Lynch and Irene Schmidt.
	Funeral services were held on Monday, April 30 at 10 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Tom Hobson officiating.  Interment was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
	Friends called at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 8 to 8:30 a.m. then at the church until services.
	Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
